the party face

New Years was another new year. But that was about all. Last year I had a bad christmas, I don’t remember New Years, but i know i must have had a good time as I was in amongst many days off, I got lucky with that. But These winter holidays are getting less special. It’s more a time to enjoy with friends and or family now for me.

You(I) scored as Drunk Cat. Put down the bottle, Cheech. Sign up for some AA classes and drink a glass of water. Bars are ok once in a while, but you shouldn’t be sleeping at them.

I have just added a jukebox feature to my website, not sure how long this will last as it may push the bandwidth way over my limit, but I am getting close with the photos anyway and they are all reduced file size. I am going to have to think about getting my own hosting solution if I want to keep up the storage and media usage from this site.

Anyway these songs I have put on the Jukebox at the minute kinda sum up the last year in a few ways or mean somethign to me from the last year (there are many missed out but thats cause they were in the wrong format or I just wanted 5 songs) If you know me you probably know why these songs are in the list.

If you want to get this juke box permanently then there is a Pop G Box link on the right in MISC.

I once heard this song … ‘i just can’t get enough … and i just can’t get enough’ blah blah blah. The song is unimportant, what is important is the title of this post. Up until a month ago I didn’t know of any of these guys now I can’t get enough of them. Ron White, Jeff Foxworthy Bill Engvall Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy aka Blue Collar Comedy Tour .. git r dun

Tour Ride Again

So now I have see both of these dvd’s. The Ride’s again dvd I literally downloaded last night and burnt onto a dvd this morning .. and watched. Now I have never made my own dvd before, this new computer has loads of cools thing on it like that. As I went to make my DVD using a Nero piece of software I was thinking wow this is cool .. then I found out how cool … you can make you’re own menu at the beginning .. create your own chapters or search for chapters ! It kicked butt .. I want to make more DVD’s.

On a side not I need a gym in Northampton that is cheap and has a free solarium !

How does your life Rate ?

This is probably a good thing knowing me. I mean I could only get into more trouble if under 17 year olds were allowed to come play as well. It’s funny how a few years ago I hated these online tests now I seem to try quite a few of them. It must be a new trend. In the mean time thought I should really go and find out what that rating is .. I know it’s american but i thought the worst rating they had was R .. This Flagship Site says that basically NC 17 differs from R Rating by the fact that one the kids will join in with the parents and the latter isparents only (soundslike something parents invented to me to get away from their kids). This site American Movie Rating System Explained Leaves out the NC 17 rating ! At the end of the day .. apparently I am pretty hardcore. >> just realised maybe I forgot to mention .. i didn’t make the rating thing up .. if you would like to rate your life .. click on the rating symbol >>

Something is still throwing me way off balance sleep wise .. it’s what .. 3.50 in the morning and I still haven’t managed to get to sleep. I am not sure what it is .. but as of monday I am going to make a point of forcing myself up early until i can’t help but go to sleep at a normal time. Start doing some things to get me active and outside to try and make me tired. I have spent 5 years used to physical labour (yeh right) outside sweating and using alot of energy. I just am not able to do that all day here. Getting a job will help as well I am sure, but the few I have seen that paid ok were gone. I have applied for a few others and no one ever gets back to me.

I have constructively spent the night redesigning my blog page and simplifying the galleries so that if i ever get around to it merging them with my blog should be easy. I do however like the look of my new blog, it’s clean and crisp and has some nice functions to it that I am looking to enhance next. I will also be working on my photography portfolios over the next few days, that shouldn’t take long as they will be very simple static pages that I will control manually, only 10 – 25 images in each category and protect the directories from downloads and hotlinking. Watermark the image and only have a certain size on the site. They won’t be for selling … I don’t think. Mainly for display until i come across a good solution that allows my images to be searched and bought safely and proifitably. Not that I ever really sell any over my website, but it has come in handy in the past for people to decide which ones they want and then everything else is done by email or post or person.

local jam
The Boat Inn

So apparently after a weekend of being busy Jim and myself had to go out and do some more drinking. The night was a normal mates sat around talking. Ed came over and had some dinner with us. We then went into the local side where people were toasting. The guys had also brought across a banjo (maybe ukalaylee) and a miniture guitar. They played loads of irish folk songs, many made famous by the Pogues some Canal songs many of which I think they made up the words. Anyways .. it was fun and unusal, and made me realise how much I miss Cayman for it’s Karaoke, impromptued talented people jamming in bars etc. Just general socialisng. The thing is .. In a local pub like that in England they may know your name, esp. if you go in a lot. However in Cayman it can be the busiest trendy bar and they will know your name.

southampton town
Pete’s Birthday

Youch – wat a weekend .. I haven’t been out like that in ages … what with curfue in Cayman, and only having gone to local pubs here in the UK I haven’t really had a city session where you rumble onto different places throughout the night. I don’t remember too many peoples names, but it was quite freaky to have so many people know me just from Alex’s website

It was also weird to be in what was essentially a student environment again. Either way I can tell my drinking abilities have gone downhill as I only did one shot of Jaegar and i really didn’t want to do another. I must practice that some more!

The London Eye

Well it has been a while since I have posted and I haven’t really done much of anything to excuse the fact that I haven’t posted anything here. Well It’s not much of an excuse but my gallery software has had some errors. My Host’s upgraded and all of a sudden gallery is not working (along with a few other problems I had like email down and mysql connection issues.)

So I was going to post I have some piccies to put up etc .. but I don’t want to just post them I want them to be part of my gallery’s and I hate redoing things.

Xmas Bing Crosby

In the last few weeks, Bianca has come to see me. While she was here we crashed out and watched TV, went to a Northampton Restaurant “Metro’s”. We hung out with Jim down at Stoke Bruerne at the Boat Had a few beers and then went back to Jims and watched some TV (I think we watched Jack Dee Live). The next day even though we woke up late we did the famous fly by drive tour of London (only takes about 3 hours) We left at 1pm and were back by about 7pm. We Saw Big Ben, The London Eye, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament and I am sure much more like marble arch, Oxford street, Fleet Street, US Embassy … not bad for a few hours hey. Oh we also walked along the Thames Embankment. (Thanks for that Jim)
