Eternal Sunshine
As you do things and see things and experience things they undoubtedly effect your life to varying degrees according to how much you relate to them. I have to say that I do love watching movies and some of the more drama type movies I often can find links to my life or things that have happened to me. It is for me the key behind entertainment for me. I love comedy and action stuff but a book or movie that has some sort of dramatical relationship to my life is oftena lot more grabbing.
I just saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It is named after a quote by Alexander Pope’s poem ‘Eloisa to Abelard‘; which contains the quote “How happy is the blameless vestal’s lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!” This quote would possible never have meant anything to me unless I had first seen the film, i’m not so good at understanding other people’s philosophies. Basically put though to me it means you can forget something that has forgotten you, but that will just make everything new again and life will seem bright and hopefull: Because on some level you are meant to be involved with what you forgot as is what you forgot meant to be involved with you and so you will remember. It’s like the talks of reincarnation and coming back in a next life. People suggest that there is one true love one person for each and everyone of us. I go along with this belief. So no matter how much blame and lack of sunshine life appears to have with that person it is meant to be eternally. (kinda relating the quote to the movie there). Anyway it makes you think, how much happiness do you need to get from something to want to have it in your life for ever. It is impossible that one thing can bring nothign but hapiness, there willbe some sadness with it, but how much outweighing does there need to be for you to know unequivically that you want to have and be a part of it for the rest of your life. It’s got me thinking. It’s a fantastic movie that everyone must see, it doesn’t matter if you want to understand it on a deeper level or not but it is a principal worth understanding that once we have loved we should and shall never forget that love. It’s a feeling to strong to forget or to destroy with any type of desire to or anger and hatred. (another persons opinion.)
