Well ok this was like a week ago now .. and I finally got around to putting something up in the journal about it even though the photos have been up for a while.
Calico Jacks Beach Bar had their 1 year anniversary the other week (last monday) and we entered a Team to go and try and win some prizes. First prize was plane tickets from Cayman Airways. We didn’t win that so now I have the Polar Plunge next month I need to enter to try and win them again. We got 3rd I believe in the Sand Castle competition .. came joint last in the tug o war .. gained a few points in spelling bee comp .. and I think 2nd in the Swim Floaty Relay. Overall we got 5th place and won $25 in vouchers for drinks at a couple of Bars .. so not bad for a afternoon of fun.

I just got approved for a 2 year work permit starting this month.

My Picture is on Diver Net right now and will be also in their Magazine in the UK Diver in the next few days.

All because I entered a Bsoup competition. It’s very pleasing to see one competition help your name and image get seen everywhere.

Maybe in a few US magazines too who knows. Thanks JP, for making the magazine stuff happen .. and thanks Alex for making the competition happen.

The competition was the first international I believe I had entered that at the least had some great people enter and was judged by a panel of people used to seeing amazing images. It was a purely digital contest I believe and either way was a great grin maker to see I did well in it.

I will have to get keen again and get in the water and shoot some more stuff very soon.
